⚖️ Article 25 of the Domestic Workers Regulation
If the employer terminates the contract without a legitimate reason, the domestic worker is entitled to:
- 💰 Compensation equal to 2 full months' salary
- ✅ In addition to the end-of-service gratuity
- ✅ And unused leave balance payout
🔄 What does "unlawful" mean?
Any termination without a documented and justified reason under the regulation. For example: dismissal for demanding rights, or due to illness before exhausting allocated sick leave.
📋 Cases where the worker has the right to terminate immediately
- Deception at the time of contract regarding work conditions
- Physical assault by the employer or their family
- Being assigned dangerous work
- Renting their services to others
📜 Article 25 — Domestic Workers Regulation: If the termination is without a legitimate reason, the harmed party is entitled to compensation equal to two months' wages.
