📋 Obligations of the Domestic Employer
According to the regulations, the employer is obligated to provide:
- 💳 Salary: Paid at the end of each Hijri month (or as agreed in writing)
- 🏠 Housing: Providing suitable accommodation
- 🏥 Healthcare: Covered by the employer
- 📋 Residence permit (Iqama) and fees: Borne by the employer
- ⏰ Rest: The worker must not be assigned to work for more than 5 continuous hours without a break
- 🛡️ Dignity: Prohibition of verbal or physical abuse
❌ What the Employer Is Not Allowed to Do
- ❌ Renting the worker's services to others
- ❌ Assigning work that is fundamentally different from the agreed work
- ❌ Keeping the worker's passport (a criminal offense)
