SANED: The 90-Day Registration Deadline, and Your Right to Appeal a Rejection

4 min read Article 7 · 10 · 23

The short answer

More than 90 days late registering after leaving your job? You lose your entitlement. Here's the deadline, the contribution rate, and the appeal path.

⏰ The registration deadline: exactly 90 days

📜 Article 10

"A subscriber must register with the Ministry within (90) ninety days from the date of leaving work covered by this system." The Ministry must also be notified within 7 days of any change in eligibility conditions or submitted data.

📌 No extension possible

Exceeding the 90 days forfeits your right to register for that specific period of unemployment — no exception is mentioned in the law to extend this deadline.

💳 The monthly contribution

📜 Article 7

"The employer pays (1%) one percent monthly. The subscriber pays (1%) one percent monthly." The contribution is split equally between you and your employer, and deducted automatically as part of social insurance obligations.

⚖️ If your request is rejected: the appeal path

📜 Article 23

"Employers and subscribers... may file an objection against any decision... The objection is submitted to: (a) the Organization's Governor for decisions made by the office director. (b) the Board of Directors for decisions made by the Governor." If the objection is not accepted, a complaint may be filed before the competent labor judicial authority.

💡 The takeaway

A rejected request isn't the end of the road — there are two administrative levels (the Governor, then the Board) before resorting to labor courts.
