🌙 The Rule for the Holy Month of Ramadan

Under Article 98 of the Labor Law, working hours for all Muslims during Ramadan are reduced to:

  • 🕐 6 hours daily (instead of 8)
  • 📅 36 hours weekly (instead of 48)

This is a legal right, not a favor from the employer.

⚠️ What If You Are Asked to Work More?

Any hour beyond 6 hours daily in Ramadan for a Muslim worker is considered overtime paid at 1.5x under Article 107.

📜 Article 98 — Labor Law: In the month of Ramadan, actual working hours for Muslims shall be reduced to 6 hours a day or 36 hours a week.

💡 The reduction applies to Muslims only. Non-Muslims remain on standard working hours of 8 hours.
